While Batman's Bruce Wayne pretends to be a womanizing, hard-drinking cad to throw people off the scent of his nocturnal alter ego, Iron Man's Tony Stark is the real deal. Cocky, wealthy, and brilliant, he makes up for a lack of superpowers with unlimited resources (care of his extremely lucrative company, which develops weapons for the military) and one kickass suit of armor. Iron Man is the first feature being released under Marvel Comics' independent production banner, and if the recent reaction that early footage got at the San Diego Comic-Con is any indication, this is going to be huge. Robert Downey Jr. stars as the very adult hero Stark (no angst-ridden teens in this one) for Elf and Zathura director Jon Favreau.
