SYNOPSIS:
Not since Forrest Gump have feathers enjoyed so much screen time. Set in the 1800s, this latest from Kapur (Elizabeth) tells of a British soldier (Ledger) who resigns his commission when it embarks to fight in the Sudan. He then receives four white feathers-a symbol of cowardice-from his friends and fiancée (Hudson). Determined to prove them wrong, he disguises himself as an Arab and braves bloody desert battles to anonymously help his comrades. (Couldn't he just have sent a nice fruit basket?)
