Old pirates die hard-as do main characters in billion-dollar franchises. In round three, Elizabeth (Knightley), Will (Bloom), and voodoo priestess Tia Dalma (Naomie Harris) ally with the resurrected Captain Barbossa (Rush) to save Captain Jack Sparrow (Depp), last seen in a kraken's clutches. Then they confront Chinese buccaneer Sao Feng (Chow) before facing off against the East India Trading Company and octopus-bearded Davy Jones (Bill Nighy). "The pirates are the individualistic, fun-loving people, and the trading company tries to make everyone the same," says Harris. "They're the biggest baddies, the corporate world kind of thing." This message was brought to you by the Walt Disney Company, branding happiness since 1923.
