The beloved anime character is getting a most futuristic treatment in this flick by the Wachowski brothers (The Matrix trilogy, V For Vendetta). Emile Hirsch stars as Speed Racer, Christina Ricci is his ladylove Trixie, and the Racer fam is played by Susan Sarandon and John Goodman.
