Comic-book enthusiasts can breathe a sigh of relief: Brett Ratner hasn't completely ruined the X-Men series a.k.a. ‘The Franchise that Bryan Singer Built.’ In fact, at first glance it's difficult to spot any substantial differences between the third film and its predecessors. But really, it shouldn't come as a shock that the director of Rush Hour has turned out a reasonably entertaining piece of blockbuster filmmaking.
