So the hot rumor is that Brad Pitt will replace Tom Cruise in Paramount's next Mission: Impossible film. We're cool with that. More at MSNBC.

Citing the influence his time there had on his career, George Lucas is giving $175 million to his alma mater, The University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. More at The Hollywood Reporter.

South of the Border Movie Moves
Mexico is making a late push to get more Hollywood filmmakers to cross the border. A new promotional magazine from Mexico's film commission is highlighting the fact that the likes of Tony Scott, James Cameron, and Mel Gibson (we'll forego the tequila and driving laws jokes) have all recently shot films there. We Thought About a Double Bill With Men at Work...
