In Phone Booth, Radha Mitchell answers the call of the wild.

In Phone Booth, Radha Mitchell's sleazy publicist husband (Colin Farrell) picks up a pay phone and is told by a crazed sniper that if he hangs up, he'll get a bullet in his brain. But according to the Australian-born actress, one of the film's most disturbing scenes occurred between takes. "There were all these homeless people coming on the set," Mitchell says about shooting in gritty downtown Los Angeles. "This one lady who was high on crack had no undies on and kept flashing everyone." Less distressing was Mitchell's recent role as another frustrated spouse--this time as the wife of Peter Pan author J.M. Barrie (Johnny Depp) in the upcoming drama Neverland. The 29-year-old, best known stateside for her ingenue-editor turn in High Art, says she enjoyed filming in London but found the film's 19th-century couture a tad confining. "It felt really uncomfortable wearing corsets," she says. But at least the locals kept their pants on.
