Scene Stealer: Saffron Burrows

Troy (2004)
Forget about Achilles! Burrows and the rest of the cast and crew of this historical epic learned that Mexico's heat and hurricane season were far tougher than anything mentioned in The Iliad.

"It was terribly funny to be around the swimming pool on, say a Tuesday morning, when many of us weren't shooting, and see men in full-blown beards sweating terribly in the August sun. On a day off, I took a chance and left Mexico to see a friend's play in Europe. On the way back, I stopped in L.A. and turned on the television and saw that the most extraordinary hurricane was hitting Mexico just north of our set. When I finally got back down there, the walls of Troy were damaged, the Greek tents had been swept away, and there were warnings posted everywhere in the hotel to lock yourself in the bathroom. It was quite dramatic."
