Scene Stealer: Saffron Burrows
Miss Julie (1999)
In this adaptation of August Strindberg's play, Burrows portrays a young aristocrat who falls for her father's footman.
"The thing I found most difficult about playing Miss Julie was her elitism and how condescending she was towards the servants. I grew up in such an egalitarian community so that was rather challenging. But once you realize that she's as human and fragile as anyone else, you can lose yourself in the role."
