The Jolliest (or Not) Movie Santas
St. Nick holds the record for movie incarnations, and we've got a list of some who played him naughty and others who played him nice.

With the November release of Fred Claus, Paul Giamatti didn't just don a white beard and a red suit, he stepped into a cherished legacy of cinematic Santa Clauses. While some go traditional and play him as fat, jolly, and armed with presents, others ground the legend in more earthly foibles. Nevertheless, there's just something about the jingling of bells and the shaking of bellies as if they were, in fact, full of jelly that makes a person truly feel the holiday spirit.
So crack open the eggnog and send the kids to bed as PREMIERE presents our favorite movie Santas.

Who's your favorite onscreen Santa?
Posted: 1/12/2008 4:09:40 PM Name: timmy Message: This past holiday we spent alot of time with our soon to be 2 year old watching, ELF, starring Will Ferrell. But Santa Claus, played by Ed Asner in a very short on screen role, made me want more of this Santa. Asner made Santa likeable, loveable and human in a very very small time on screen.
