It's a shock to learn that you haven't had lessons. Many people associate your performances with extremely emotional moments where you're able to just well up. How do you do that?
I try to get inside the character and really focus on that. And if you're in a situation like August, and his parents aren't there, and he knows they are [somewhere], it's just such a frustrating thing. You know they must be there somewhere, and you know they do love you. But where are they? And so if you try and put yourself in those situations, the emotions just come. It's not like trying to force out tears or anything. Just let the emotion come through.

Do you have a dream actor or director that you are looking potentially to work with?
I'd like to work with everyone who I've already worked with again. Yeah, really, everyone who I've had the opportunity to work with has been really great to me, really first rate. So just them again.

So if another role with Johnny Depp were to come up, would you feel a lot more comfortable being in that role?
I guess so. You know that you're going to be with a really great guy for that time. And so you build up friendships through that as well. And it doesn't become just going in for acting, but you're going in to see your friends.

Are you in contact with other young actors? Do you have contact with actors such as Daniel Radcliffe or Dakota Fanning? Or are your lives all very disparate and separate?
There's no particular group or anything. Daniel I've known for a while, but not really through acting. We just knew each other. And I was in L.A. earlier this year, and I met with Dakota Fanning and just talked. But there's not a particular group or sort of particular Facebook thing that we all go and do.

After high school do you have any thoughts about going to university?
University would be fun. It would be interesting to go one day and maybe even get to go to [school in] America or something. But I don't know. I've got big exams the end of this year, and then I go down to four subjects. So it would be fun to go to university. But I'm not sure what I'd like to do when I'm all done. It would be great if I were lucky enough to continue acting. That would be genius.
