Premiere's Editor-In-Chief loves 'The Departed,' but what movie do you think is the best of the year?
By Peter Herbst
My favorite movie of the year, no surprise, is The Departed. It's exquisite genre movie-making, directed without one false move, a heady blend of fat-free acting and Jack Nicholson's operatic villainy. It's also fun and scary from start to finish. When I asked the Premiere staff to tell me what their favorite movie of 2006 was, many of them picked The Departed, too. But we want to know what your favorite movie of the year is.
