Movie Rating:

The Pitch: Journalists John and his wife Jennifer Grogan (Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston) like to go by the book: first comes love, then comes marriage, but before the baby carriage, Marley jumps in. Life veers off Jennifer's meticulously prepared to-do list, but Marley manages to teach them (and their kids) that it's okay to go against the norm and jump in puddles along the way.

The High Points: Owen Wilson manages to break his customary comic relief persona and is adept at playing a little Father Knows Best; the yellow lab does a good job too.

The Low Points: If you never knew how tiring life with an untrained dog can be, this two-hour long movie might do trick.

Fun, and Tears, For The Whole Family: Kids and adults will like it, but be forewarned – it's not all laughs.
